Will there be more emissions from this plant?
The new unit(s) will have emissions rates that will be lower than those produced from the existing operations. In other words for every unit of electricity produced from the new facility there will be an environmental benefit. In addition, the combined emissions of major pollutants from the existing generating units and new unit(s) will be less than the existing facilities operational baseline emissions. This will be guaranteed by enforceable permit limits.
