Mystic 7 Station
Mystic Station is a dual fuel intermediate load power generating facility located adjacent to Mystic 8&9. Mystic 7 is a one dual fuel fired nominal 560 MW steam turbine generating unit (7) that is accompanied by a nominal 13 MW oil-fired gas turbine unit (Jet), as well as three conventional turbine units retired in December 2003 (units 4-6).
Mystic 7 has the ability to operate at output levels between 90MW and 560MW. This flexibility combined with its location inside the transmission-constrained Boston load pocket provides Mystic Station with the ability to follow the regional load patterns.
